This report was the first one in the new housestyle of the Port. Clarity and strength are the characteristics of that housestyle. These are graphically translated in the use of large, black typography, large format and speaking, saturated images. The Port must communicate clearly and directly.
Very recognizable, the title ‘Annual Report’ is top left in big black typography (Franklin Gothic) and the logo of the ‘Port of Antwerp’ in the bottom. The white cover sheets work like a thread through the entire communications of the Port. The first part of the report is narrower. In this way a part of the pictures from the second part remains still visible. This creates a bond between the two parts of the report. The first part states the annual report, the second part contains a visual report of the Port and the annual accounts. The direct and powerful images have a large share in the recognition of the housestyle. They visualize the dynamic and grandeur, but also the human aspect of the Antwerp Port. The photos were taken by Thomas VANHAUTE, Jimmy KETS and Catapult.
